Description
Elizabeth Goudy and Christopher Jones are pleased to announce their engagement (finally).  Penguins are their "thing", and Betsy had given Chris a penguin statue that opens and told him that when he was ready to give her a ring, he should put it inside the penguin and she would know he was ready to get married. Years went by and the penguin sat on his bookshelf…it was empty every time she opened it . This Christmas eve, while at her sisters, the penguin was on the kitchen table. She wondered where her sister got a penguin like theirs, but then she looked at Christopher and asked, "is that OUR penguin?" He said "why don't you open it and see"? and there was the ring! He had wrapped it in a napkin left over from Valentine's day that said "Be Mine". He said, "Will you marry me?" in front of her whole family!
The wedding will take place on June 28, 2014 in their backyard in Floyd.  Christopher works at the Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center in Utica, and Betsy is the Director of Development & Alumni Relations at Bishop Ludden Jr. Sr. High School in Syracuse.  They will reside (God help her) in Floyd, NY.
