    Ellen and James Grooms, of Camillus, are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Claire Ellen Grooms, to Michael Thomas Schulz, son of Julie Crandall.
    Claire, a graduate of West Genesee High School and Rutgers University, also received a Master of Education from The Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University. She currently teaches fourth grade at West Genesee Central School District.
    Michael, a graduate of Norwich High School, earned his bachelor's degree in business economics from University of South Florida. He works for One Source Financial.
    An August 24, 2013, wedding is planned at St. Patrick's Church in Syracuse with a reception at Bellevue Country Club.
