The marriage of Miss Erika Burkhard and Mr. Chet Ruth took place on Saturday, January 21, 2012, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony held under the pergola at the Hilton in Pensacola Beach, FL.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Gyl Burkhard of Warners, NY. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester and Betsy Ruth of Pensacola, FL.
The bride was given in marriage and escorted by her parents. Miss Corinne Wainer of Brooklyn, NY served as Maid of Honor. Mrs. Lindsey McMacken of Midland, MI served as Bridesmaid.
The groom's father, Chester, served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. Travis Sasser and Mr. Rodney Brown of Pensacola, FL. The bride’s brother, Gary Burkhard, of Los Angeles, CA, served as ring bearer.
Showers were given for the bride by loving family and friends in both New York and Florida. The rehearsal dinner was held at The Grand Marlin. Guests, who traveled from all over the country, enjoyed dinner and dancing in the Emerald Coast Room of the Hilton Pensacola Beach.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of West Genesee Sr. High School in Camillus, NY. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and works at Alstom Power in Midlothian, VA. The groom is a 1995 graduate of Tate High School in Pensacola, FL. He graduated from Pensacola State College with a Associates of Science in Criminal Justice and works for CSX Corporation in Richmond.
Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, Erika and Chet now reside in Midlothian, VA. They are eager to spend their first anniversary skiing at Snowshoe Mountain in WV.
