Description
    Army Sergeant Matthew M. Casey has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and decorated with the Army Achievement Medal. The medal was awarded to Sgt. Casey for Meritorious Service while serving in a combat area. The promotion and awards ceremony took place at FOB Kunduz, Afghanistan in January.
    Sgt. Casey is currently deployed with the 7th Cavalry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Inf. Division. He began his Army career in 2010.
    Sgt. Casey is the son of Michael and RoxAnne Casey of Syracuse. His wife Allie, is the daughter of Tim and Lori Nettles of Carthage, NY.
