Starting
Pay Range: $7.50 Hours: 1:30 PM- 6:00 PM

General Function:
Responsible
for supervision of a group of up to 12 children between the ages of 3 and 5.

Position Requirements:  
Assist
in planning and executing activity plan, while following the curriculum
accordingly

Demonstrate
competency, good judgment, leadership, and self-control in the presence of
children when performing assigned responsibilities.
    
Relate
positively to program participants, peers, program administration and the
parents of children enrolled.

Strong
written and spoken communications skills with children, peers, program
administration and participant’s parents.

Maintain
adherence and compliance with YMCA policy and DFPS Minimum Standards.

Responsible
for creating and maintaining a positive environment, which includes Character
Values, constructive discipline techniques and engaging activities.

Ensure
adequate supervision of all children while they are present in the program.

Ensure
that no child is abused, neglected, or exploited while in the care of the
operation. Report suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation to DFPS or law
enforcement.

If
taking off work ensure that clear instructions are left for the substitute
teacher.

Cooperate and lend skills to the entire YMCA staff.

Attend
staff meetings and trainings.
