Technical Instructor of
Land Surveying and Geomatics
Responsible for teaching post-secondary land surveying and other geospatial related courses. Duties include teaching,
curriculum development, working with student organizations, scheduling, lab and equipment maintenance, ordering of supplies and equipment, assisting in student advising, counseling,
recruitment and placement, and other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying and Mapping, Geomatics, Earth Sciences, Geology, Geography, GIS, Civil Engineering or other related field from an accredited institution.
- Ten (10) years' experience in surveying field.
- Five (5) years' experience as a licensed Professional Land
Surveyor Colorado Professional Land Surveyor license.
- Basic computer skills, as well as strong communications skills.
- Must have or obtain Career and Technical Education Credential within six months of employment (approximately 40 hours
classroom time).
Preferred:
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Teaching experience.
- Strong skills in distance learning methods.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience.
Excellent health and retirement benefits package.
**Please Note: This position is funded by a donation from the Professional Land Survey Society. The salary for the 2018/2019 academic year is dependent upon continued funding.**
