INVITATION TO BID
The Ute Water Conservancy District will receive sealed bids at the Administration Office located at 2190 H 1/4 Rd, Grand Junction, Colorado 81505, until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 for the 26 ROAD AND G ROAD 8" WATERLINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT. The project consists of installation of approximately 1,400 feet of 8-inch PVC pipe, of which approximately 200 feet is directional drill and pull back (trenchless installation), including connection to existing mains and services, and other miscellaneous work as described in the Contract Documents.
Plans, specifications and bid documents may be reviewed at the Ute Water Administration Office. Copies of Ute Water Conservancy District's Standard Specifications for Water Line Construction dated February 2005 may be obtained for a non-refundable sum of $15.00. The Contract Documents for this project may be obtained online at our website (http://www.utewater.org/utewaterprojects) at no cost. Downloads include the project specific specifications and accompanying full-scale drawings.
A pre-bid meeting will be on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. on 26 Road adjacent to the GVIC canal north of G Road. Attendance at the meeting is not mandatory.
Ute Water's office will stamp the date and mark the time received on all bids. Bids received after the date and time indicated on the Invitation to Bid will not be considered. The Ute Water Conservancy District is not responsible for delays occasioned by the US Postal Service or any other means of delivery employed by Bidder.
A five percent (5%) Bid Bond will be required, as well as a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bonds to guarantee the faithful performance of the contract. It is required that the surety issuing such bonds have an attorney-in-fact or a principal doing business in Colorado. This information must be included on the bond statement.
The Ute Water Conservancy District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to postpone the award for thirty (30) days, to delete certain items from the Proposal, and to award the Contract to the lowest responsible bidder.
The Ute Water Conservancy District may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed bidding procedures and requirements and, may reject any and all bids upon finding that it is in the District's best interest to do so.
Contractor shall be licensed as required by the State of Colorado and local governments or municipalities.
