Job Description
The Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW) aspires to be among the finest graduate schools of social work in the country. GSSW currently has a competitive PhD program and offers a Masters of Social Work degree at three campuses in Denver, Durango and Glenwood Springs. In addition, GSSW is in the process of developing a MSW program to be delivered completely online. Position Summary
Under the direction of the Western Colorado MSW Program Director, the Program Manager will provide coordination and coverage of program activities at the Western Colorado MSW Program based in Glenwood Springs, CO.  This position will be based out of Glenwood Springs. This position supports the Program Director with two major functions:
1. Coordination and administration of the activities of the educational programs. 
2. Development and coordination of field education sites and agencies.
The Program Manager is present for the weekend based program on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the academic school year to support students, faculty, and staff in all aspects of program operations. Under the direction of the Western Colorado MSW Program Director, the Program Manager is responsible for managing program internal and external program communications and coordinating student and faculty services on-site in Glenwood Springs. As an MSW, the Program Manager may be asked to serve on various Councils or community teams. This position requires working on Fridays and Saturdays, including Friday evenings and involves some travel especially during the academic year. Weekday schedule can be flexible with some evenings/travel required.
Essential Functions
Assists in the coordination of educational and administrative components of the off-site MSW Program in Glenwood Springs, CO.
Assists in marketing efforts including facilitating publicity, distributing recruitment materials and program information, and providing individualized information to potential students.
Assists with student recruitment.
Coordinates prospective student webinars and informational sessions in the communities.
Assists with program evaluation responsibilities.
Acts as academic advisor to students as needed.
Provides assistance to the faculty teaching in the offsite program including the coordination of materials and resources.
Physically present for ITV classes, assisting in classroom management for all classes offered, including physical and technological resources, and assisting instructors with group facilitation and educational tasks as needed.
Assists in the development of scholarship resources for students which may include grant writing and interfacing with foundations.
Coordinates and attends weekly field education meetings.
Evaluates field placements.
Establishes agency contracts.
Trains and supports field liaisons and instructors.
Assists in the development of field placements and in securing field placements for students.
Serves as Field Liaison as needed.
Serves as a representative of the Program in the community including public speaking engagements.
Assists with the development and coordination of special events and professional development for students, adjuncts and field instructors, which may include local reception ceremonies, guest lecture experiences, alumni engagement opportunities, student orientation, licensure preparation courses and/or commencement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of rural social work practice and the ability to engage with rural stakeholders.
Knowledge of the NASW Code of Ethics and application to social work education.
Knowledge of the Standards and Indicators for Cultural Competence in Social Work Practice.
Knowledgeable in principles of supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including cultural humility.
Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and ability to relate to diverse groups
Demonstrated leadership skills including being able to work under pressure, using creative problem solving skills and working independently.
Ability to understand FERPA, HIPPA, and other confidentiality laws.
Ability to analyze budgets, data, and create reports.
Excellent writing, typing and oral communication skills.
Organizational skills in developing and managing projects.
Familiar with Educational Management System (Canvas/Blackboard etc.).
Required Qualifications
MSW degree from a CSWE accredited institution.
Three to five (3-5) years of administrative social work practice.
Preferred Qualifications
Colorado Social Work License.
Work Schedule
Fridays and Saturdays are required, including evenings & involves some travel. Weekdays can be flexible with some evenings.
