William and Lillian Ferris
Shortly after Bill met Lillian Milkie; he asked her to marry him and he would "show her the world". He was in the Navy and served in Korea and Viet Nam. He did show Lillian the world after 40 years in the Navy and 17 homes all over the world. He retired from the Navy as a Captain served in the Medical Service Corps.

It was June 20, 1953 when we married. Where did the time go? Are we really married for 60 years? We have two children, Rev/ Dr. Michael Ferris and wife, Denise of Baton Rouge, LA and Louise Ruthenberg who lives in Peoria, AZ. They each have four children: Cheryl Castile and husband, Joel; Michelle Mull and husband, Todd; David Ferris and wife Katie, and Catherine Partrich and husband, Aaron. Sarah McCovery and husband, Clarence; Rachel Ruthenberg, Micah Ruthenberg and Efraim Ruthenberg. Their children: Ashlyn, Ethan, Emily, Nathan, Zachery, Hannah, Jazmyn and Malachi.

For our 60th Anniversary we will be sailing on the Disney Fantasy in the Caribbean with 25 of our family members.

50th Wedding Anniversary
June 8, 2013 marked 50 years to the exact date they were married in 1963 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Staten Island, NY.
Bob and Diane retired from Staten Island 14 years ago to be near their adult children Bob, Jr. in La Jolla and Denise in Los Angeles. They
now live in
Solana Beach.
They have three grandchildren, Faith, Mary and Bobby Tyson.
On Saturday they had a renewal of their vows and a blessing at the 5:00 p.m., Mass in St. James Church in Solana Beach with a small dinner party following.

Anniversary

Don and Joan Kunkel of San Diego, California will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2013. The special day will be marked by a family gathering with their children and grandchildren. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, the couple was married by Father Charles O'Brien at St. Gertrude's Church in Madeira, Ohio.

They have four children: Jackie (Dan) Brenning of Cincinnati, Ohio; Don (Frannie) Kunkel of Cincinnati, Ohio; Charlie (Kelli) Kunkel of San Diego, California; and Scott (Lori) Kunkel of Austin, Texas. They have ten grandchildren: Chris, Kevin and Casey Brenning; Anna and Meggie Kunkel; Trevor and Tyler Kunkel; and Nick, Sean and Jack Kunkel.
Don retired in 2004 after thirty eight years with Merrill Lynch. Joan retired following a successful real estate career.
