The Administrator is responsible for the general administration of the Neuvant House and works to fulfill the mission and principles of the community. A successful Administrator ensures the highest quality of service to an individual experiencing memory loss. At Neuvant House of Lawrence, the Administrator is committed to understanding the needs of each resident, treating each resident with dignity and respect, being aware of their likes and dislikes, preferred routines and activities, keeping in mind each resident has a lifetime worth of experiences and interests. The Administrator focuses on the individuals needs and ensures a personal schedule and program to strengthen and enrich the residents life. The Administrator ensures that new ways of interacting with each resident brings relief, comfort, dignity and joy and includes the resident in daily decisions whenever possible, understanding the residents unique needs and preferences. The Administrator is delegated the authority and responsibility to manage and oversee the operations of Neuvant House of Lawrence and all of its services including, but not limited to, the recruitment of staff, establishing priorities for the allocation of resources, and the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. The Administrator is responsible for adherence to the facility budget, and maintains an awareness of available resources and directs the activities of key staff in acquiring and effectively deploying those funds. The Administrator is responsible for organizing quality services and maintaining required certifications, licenses, and permits. The Administrator is responsible for compliance with the requirements of the Kansas Department of Aging Statutes and Regulations for the Licensure and Operations of Assisted Living and Residential Health Care Facilities. Selected candidates must share a passion for helping others to live their lives to the fullest. This position demands strong oral and written communication skills, supervisory skills, outstanding leadership, organizational skills, creativity, a strong work ethic, the ability to interpret and understand financial statements, experience creating and working within budgetary constraints, significant experience as both a team member and a team leader, excellent public relations skills and a personal commitment not only to the people supported but the employees and company. Candidates that are qualified for this position will possess at a minimum a Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related human services field and four years of professional work experience in a human service or health related field, including three years of supervisory or administrative experience. Candidates who are qualified will hold or be willing to comply with the requirements for a Kansas license as an Adult Care Home Administrator or successfully complete an Administrator training course and pass the test approved by the Secretary of Kansas Department of Health and Environment. An active license in good standing with the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse, or at least one year of experience and/or training specific to the provision of services to individual in need of personal memory care are highly desired. Job requirements include a valid drivers license, good driving record, reliable transportation, current auto insurance and the ability to pass background and other required employment checks. Candidates must have the ability to acquire and maintain all required training and certification to include but not limited to facility training, Nurse Aide/Medication Aide certification, Standard First Aid and CPR certification. This position is primarily M-F, however may require some evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position closes on 12/18/09.
