City Engineer
 
The City of Fruita is seeking a City Engineer to lead our Engineering Division.  The City Engineer provides a full range of professional services focused on development and management of the City's infrastructure needs while protecting the quality of life for residents in the community.  This is accomplished through administration and interpretation of the Community Plan and adopted Land Use Code, adopted City of Fruita Design Standards and Construction Specifications, and accepted state and federal regulations.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position or 7 years experience in a related position such as project management of large capital projects or any equivalent combination of education and experience.  Applicants must have a valid Colorado driver license and a P.E. registration in Colorado.  Experience in management and supervision required.

The hiring salary range for the City Engineer is $69,000 - $74,000, depending on qualifications The City's very competitive benefits package includes:  Health Insurance, dental insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, paid sick time, paid Holidays; 1 Discretionary Day; paid vacation 401A; Deferred Compensation (457 Plan); IRA Roth; and Employee Assistance Program.
