Reporting Reporting to the Director of the Community Education Center (CEC), this full-time position performs administrative duties in the daily operations of the CEC, an auxiliary enterprise within Western Colorado Community College. General office duties include, but are not limited to: answering phones, greeting customers, typing, filing, and faxing.
SOME essential duties and responsibilities include:
* Answering phones, greeting customers, typing, filing, and faxing
* Database maintenance
* Work with current and future instructors in creating new class descriptions, implement dates and times of classes
* Registering clients for classes and ensuring all payments are properly recorded and transmitted
* Invoice clients
* Review received invoices and submit for payment
* Assist in setting up of rooms, to include ensuring that all A/V equipment or other requested equipment is ready for use
* Assist in the creation of catalogs, flyers, newsletters, and other printed material
* Run daily/weekly reports as needed
* Update CEC website content and R25 Live room scheduling website
* Maintain calendar of events
* Complete required state tracking reports
* Communicate with instructors about enrollment or cancellation. Prepare class contracts for instructors.
* May supervise one or more student employees
* At least one year experience working with the public in a busy office setting
* High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work both within a team and individually
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Excellent organization and proofreading skills
*Certificate or Associate's degree in Office Administration or Business
* Sales and/or marketing experience
