The Clifton Water District, Acting By And Through Its Water Activity Enterprise, will receive separate sealed BIDS for the Clifton Water District 2017-03, at the water office at 510 34 Road, Clifton, Colorado 81520 until 4:00 p.m., MDT on the 22nd day of February , 2018, at which time and place all BIDS will be publicly opened and read aloud.
34 Road 8" Replacement Water Line, E¼ Road to GVIC Canal. The project for which bids are being accepted includes the installation of approximately 1,200 feet of 8" DR-14 C900 PVC pipe and related appurtenances to accommodate replacement of an existing 3" AC waterline located along 34 Road from E ¼ Road to the GVIC Canal. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for all required traffic control, pipe, pipe accessory materials, individual water service materials, backfill, compaction compliance, and disturbed surface interim maintenance/ final restorations.
Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained from the District's Project Representative, David Reinertsen, at 510 34 Road; Clifton, Colorado 81520 (970 434 7328). There are no fees for copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS for parties interested in performing the work.
All BIDS must be accompanied by a BID BOND in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. No BID shall be withdrawn after the opening of BIDS without the consent of the Clifton Water District for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after the scheduled time of the opening of BIDS. The successful BIDDER must also provide a one hundred percent (100%) PAYMENT BOND and a one hundred percent (100%) PERFORMANCE BOND.
All BIDS must be submitted in writing on the forms provided and signed by the BIDDER or a duly authorized agent.
The OWNER (Clifton Water District) reserves the right to reject any and all BIDS and to waive any informalities in BIDDING and to make the award in such a manner as they may deem right and proper for the best interests of the Public.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid tour for this project at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 8, 2018 commencing at the District offices, located at 510 34 Road, Clifton, CO.

WHEREAS, the Council has found and determined that the petition complies substantially with the provisions of the Municipal Annexation Act and a hearing should be held to determine whether or not the lands should be annexed to the City by Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND JUNCTION:
1. That a hearing will be held on the 21st day of March, 2018, in the City Hall auditorium, located at 250 North 5th Street, City of Grand Junction, Colorado, at 6:00 PM to determine whether one-sixth of the perimeter of the area proposed to be annexed is contiguous with the City; whether a community of interest exists between the territory and the city; whether the territory proposed to be annexed is urban or will be urbanized in the near future; whether the territory is integrated or is capable of being integrated with said City; whether any land in single ownership has been divided by the proposed annexation without the consent of the landowner; whether any land held in identical ownership comprising more than twenty acres which, together with the buildings and improvements thereon, has an assessed valuation in excess of two hundred thousand dollars is included without the landowner's consent; whether any of the land is now subject to other annexation proceedings; and whether an election is required under the Municipal Annexation Act of 1965.
2. Pursuant to the State's Annexation Act, the City Council determines that the City may now, and hereby does, exercise jurisdiction over land use issues in the said territory. Requests for building permits, subdivision approvals and zoning approvals shall, as of this date, be submitted to the Community Development Department of the City.
