CITY OF MARYSVILLE NOTICE OF SEPA MITIGATED DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE Community Development Department 80 Columbia Avenue l Marysville, WA 98270 (360) 363-8100 l (360) 651-5099 FAX Office Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Notice is hereby given that on June 24, 2020 a State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) was issued for the installation of approximately 10,260 cy of preload fill at the north side of the Geddes site along Ebey Slough, for ground improvements for the future construction of the Downtown Stormwater Treatment Project. A Shoreline Substantial Development Permit review is pending, and is anticipated to be issued after the expiration of the SEPA appeal period. The Shoreline Environment designation for the site is High Intensity; fill is a permitted use in this shoreline designation. The majority of the fill will be placed above the 100-year floodplain. Approximately 450 cubic yards of fill placed within the floodplain. An environmental impact statement (EIS) IS NOT required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was made after review by the City of Marysville of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with this agency. A copy of the complete Determination is available for review upon request. This MDNS is issued under WAC 197-11-340 and is subject to a 14-day comment period and a concurrent 15-day appeal period. Written comments may be submitted to the lead agency at the address below 14 days from the date of issuance of this MDNS. APPEALS: The MDNS may be appealed pursuant to the requirements of Marysville Municipal Code Section 22E.030.180, and Chapter 22G.010, Article VIII within 15 days of the date of issuance of this MDNS.
