THE GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE has an opening for a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position to improve the health and well-being of Grays Harbor County Corrections Facility (Jail). This position will provide professional nursing care in both ambulatory and infirmary settings, assist providers and registered nurses in providing medical services, manage medications, provide emergency care, and maintain medical records, to residents of the Jail in a caring, ethical, clinically competent manner consistent with community standards, in the most economic manner possible. This is a 0.7 FTE (1460 hours/yr.), exempt position. Salary range - RN: $34.08 - $54.50 per hour plus benefits, depending on experience and qualifications. LPN: $25.64 - $33.67 per hour plus benefits, depending on experience and qualifications. Those interested in per diem are also encouraged to apply. QUALIFICATIONS: RN: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and a current State of Washington license as a professional registered nurse. Proficient using computer based programs to schedule, monitor and track patient information, perform data entry, word processing, as well as other programs that may be needed to complete assigned work. One (1) year experience working as a RN in an acute care hospital or related trauma experience or correctional facility is preferred. Applications may be considered from students approaching graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing or out-of-state RN candidates not yet licensed in Washington State. LPN: State of Washington Practical Nurse License with Two (2) years of experience working as a LPN. Proficient using computer based programs to schedule, monitor and track patient information, perform data entry, word processing, as well as other programs that may be needed to complete assigned work.
