ISLAND TRANSIT Request for Qualifications Re: Statement of Qualifications for Architectural and Engineering Services Island Transit seeks to hire a consulting firm to provide on-call architectural and engineering services to support or lead to the construction, alteration, and repair of the agency’s real property. It is anticipated that this work will begin February 28, 2021, and end no later than December 1, 2025. Project description: The project consists of: • on-call architectural and engineering services as needed • research, feasibility studies, evaluation, and preliminary planning and design of potential transit center sites • conceptual design, environmental and permitting review, planning and specification, program management, engineering, construction phase services, and management of the development of the selected transit center site • program management and construction phase services for a solar panel installation at one or more of the agency’s operating bases • studying and planning for the installation of electric charging infrastructure for different vehicle types at public transit facilities Major elements of the work in the near term include completing a feasibility analysis of a potential transit center location and overseeing the installation of solar panels at one or more of the agency’s operating bases. The chosen consultant will demonstrate that they have personnel available to perform this work with significant experience with similar projects. Submittal: If you are interested in performing this work, please submit your interest and statement of qualifications by January 30, 2021. The submittal package should address the evaluation criteria listed below.
