CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON Everett Asks City Residents to Comment on Everett’s 2021 Stormwater Management Program The City of Everett developed a Stormwater Management Program to meet the requirements of the Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit (Permit). Yearly updates of the program are required. The updated 2021 Stormwater Management Program Plan is posted on the City’s website at or call 425-257-8800 to have a copy mailed to you. Public comment on this document will be accepted until March 15, 2021. Public comments on the program have no deadline. Address comments to Heather Griffin, or call 425-257-7206. The City’s Stormwater Management Program Plan describes the actions the city took in 2020 and activities planned in 2021 to maintain compliance with the Permit's conditions, which are designed to reduce stormwater pollution to Everett's waterways. The Permit is a requirement of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permits Program in the Federal Clean Water Act. Permit authority in Washington State has been delegated to the State Department of Ecology. Ecology re-issued a Phase II Municipal Stormwater General Permit to more than 80 municipalities, including Everett, in 2019. Published: February 23, 2021. EDH920374
