CITY OF LYNNWOOD NOTICE OF HEARING EXAMINER’S DECISION ZAINAB ORGANIZATION OF GREATER SEATTLE - REZONE (FILE NO. RZN-009376-2020) Decision: On February 17, 2021, the Hearing Examiner approved a request by the Zainab Organization of Greater Seattle for a rezone of a property from the Neighborhood Commercial (NC) to General Commercial (CG) zone. The Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use designation of the property is Regional Commercial (RC). The rezone is subject to compliance with all applicable provisions, requirements, and standards of the Lynnwood Municipal Code, standards adopted pursuant thereto, and the following condition: Any owner/developer of the subject property shall coordinate with the City of Lynnwood for all future development to avoid or mitigate damage to trees at the adjacent Scriber Lake Park property Location: 5707 198TH ST SW, Lynnwood, WA (00565300000404). Reconsideration: Any person who participated in the decision may request reconsideration by the Hearing Examiner by filing a request in writing with the Development and Business Services Department within seven days of the Hearing Examiner’s decision (February 24, 2021). Appeal: Any person who participated in the decision may file an appeal of the Hearing Examiner by filing the appeal to superior court pursuant to the Land Use Petition Act (Chapter 36.70C RCW) within 21 days from the date of issuance of the decision (March 10, 2021).
