SNOHOMISH COUNTY COUNCIL Snohomish County, Washington NOTICE OF INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE and NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Snohomish County Council will hold a public hearing on May 19, 2021, at the hour of 10:30 a.m., via Zoom to consider proposed Ordinance No. 21-023. ORDINANCE NO. 21-023 RELATED TO THE 2021 BUDGET; MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN PARKS CONSTRUCTION FUND 309 TO PROVIDE EXPENDITURE AUTHORITY FOR PARKS IMPROVEMENTS Section 1. The County Council makes the following findings of fact: a supplemental appropriation in the amount of $300,000, is necessary to provide expenditure authority in the Parks Construction Fund 309, for budget year 2021, to fund grant-funded improvements to the County’s Meadowdale Park & Estuary. Section 2. The appropriation unit and allocation detail for the supplemental appropriation described in Section 1 are as follows: 309 Parks Construction Fund EXPENDITURE: 309.5109 462134 6599 Meadowdale-Grants-Constr Svcs $300,000 Total Supplemental Appropriation: $300,000 REVENUE: 309.3109 8546 1463 NOAA Fed Direct Grant $300,000 Total Revenue: $300,000 Section 3. The County Council further finds that there is a need for such supplemental appropriation because the funds which support it were unanticipated at the time of adoption of the 2021 budget. Based on the foregoing, the Council hereby authorizes the appropriation. At the hearing, the Council may also consider alternatives/ amendments to the proposed ordinance.
