1.Submit written comments to Snohomish County Public Works (PW), c/o SeniorPlanner, at the
address below. All comments received prior to a department decision orrecommendation will be
reviewed. To ensure that comments are addressed in thedecision or recommendation, PW must
receive your comments before the end of thepublished comment period.

3. A SEPA appeal also requires that an affidavit or declaration be filed with the hearingexaminer

examiner’s decision. Notice of these decisions is not published. You must havesubmitted written
comments to Public Works or submitted written or oral comments atthe public hearing in order to
appeal a hearing examiner’s decision.

Project Name: Alderwood Mall Parkway: SR 525 NB On/Off Ramps to 168th St SWProject Number: RC1750
Project Description: Snohomish County proposes to improve traffic flow and capacity on Alderwood Mall
Parkway by widening to a five-lane roadway between the northbound ramps of State Route 525 and 168th
St SW. The existing roadway consists of two travel lanes and creates a bottleneck with the surrounding
five-lane roadway to the north and south of the project, contributing to congestion during peak hours. The
project will construct new travel lanes, bike lanes and sidewalks, as well as modifying the intersection of the
State Route 525 northbound ramps and Alderwood Mall Parkway.The existing culvert for Box Spring Creek
will be upgraded to a fish-passable box culvert. The project will provide a vital link between urban centers
and is necessary to accommodate expected growth in the Lynnwood area. Construction is proposed to start
in spring 2024, and end in summer 2025. Area to be cleared or grubbed: 2.7 acres,
amount of cut: 4,400 cubic yards, amount of fill: 5,200 cubic yards.
