Zoom Webinar link: https://zoom.us/j/94846850772 Dial in: (253) 215 8782 or (301) 715 8592 Meeting ID: 948 4685 0772 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Snohomish County Council has introduced Proposed Ordinance No. 21-093, ADOPTING THE 2022 BUDGET AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF COUNTY AGENCIES AND DEPARTMENTS AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2022, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2022, the Executive’s proposed 2022 Annual Budget, and will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 25, 2021 at the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and continuing thereafter as necessary, to consider the same. A summary of the proposed ordinance is a follows: PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 21-093 BE IT ORDAINED: Section 1. Appropriations. County Council adopts the 2022 Budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2022, and ending December 31, 2022. Section 2. Fire Districts. Pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 49, § 23, Laws of Washington 1982, 1st ex. sess., considers funding for the fire districts within Snohomish County and states that this budget does not provide funds for their use. Section 3. Non-represented Employees. Establishes the base 2022 compensation levels and states that non-represented employees shall be treated the same as those granted to AFSCME union employees in their collective bargaining agreements covering the year 2022. Section 4. Summary Table. States the 2022 Budget is organized by funds and departments and provides revenue and expense amounts and FTE totals. Section 5. FTE Table. Sets out 2022 FTE totals by department. Section 6. FTE Limitations. Explains FTE figures contained in Section 5. Section 7. Additional FTEs. States the Council may authorize certain FTE increases if it is in the best interests of the County and necessary funds have been appropriated. Section 8. Project Positions. States there are 71.75 project positions included and lists positions by department, position, and wage scale. At the hearing, Council may consider alternatives/amendments to the proposed ordinance. Public Testimony: All interested persons may testify at the time and place indicated above or by remote participation. The chair of the council may choose to limit testimony to three minutes in the interest of accommodating all persons wishing to testify.
