POSITION: CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT Under general supervision, assist medical and nursing staff with tasks involving extensive patient contact. Perform clinic related and clerical tasks in support of the medical program. Establish and maintain an effective system of communication within the organization, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. KNOWLEDGE OF: • Basic laboratory principles, practices and techniques. • Medical terminology utilized in social services and public health. • Set-up for physical examinations, pelvic examinations, and performing EKG’s and ultrasonic treatments. • Patient screening and triage procedures. • Medical equipment and supplies. • Record keeping, report and log preparation and maintenance. • Software and applicable applications.
