Notice of San Juan County Public Hearing on an Ordinance for Revising the San Juan County 2022 Budget for Emergency Appropriations, Amending Ordinances 16-2021, 08-2022, 09-2022, 10-2022, 12-2022, and 13-2022 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Juan County Council will conduct a public hearingfor the purpose of receiving testimony on an Ordinance Revising the San Juan County 2022 Budget for Emergency Appropriations, Amending Ordinances 16-2021, 08-2022, 09-2022, 10-2022, 12-2022, and 13-2022. The public hearing will be held virtually via TEAMS teleconferencing and in person beginning at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. At the hearing, members of the public will be invited to speak and/or provide written statements regarding the proposed ordinance. After the public testimony portion of the hearing has ended, the Council will deliberate and consider modifications to the proposed ordinance that are proposed by members of the public, County employees or the Council. The proposed ordinance may then be adopted with or without modifications. Summary of Ordinance: The emergency appropriations ordinance increases expenditures by about $700,000 because of changes in County Current Expense, County Current Grants, Environmental Stewardship, Emergency Communication, Orcas Senior Services Building, Capital Improvement, Solid Waste, Equipment Rental & Revolving, and Facilities Funds. The hearing may be continued from time to time and place to place as may be desired by the Council without additional written notice.
