Notice of San Juan County Public Hearing on an Ordinance Revising the San Juan County 2023 Budget for Emergency Appropriations, Amending Ordinance 16-2021 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Juan County Council will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving testimony on an Ordinance Revising the San Juan County 2023 Budget for Emergency Appropriations, Amending Ordinance 16-2021. The public hearing will be held virtually via TEAMS and in person beginning at 9:15 Tuesday, November 29, 2022. At the hearing, members of the public will be invited to speak and/or provide written statements regarding the proposed ordinance. After the public testimony portion of the hearing has ended, the Council will deliberate and consider modifications to the proposed ordinance that are proposed by members of the public, County employees or the Council. The proposed ordinance may then be adopted with or without modifications. Summary of Ordinance: The mid-biennium review of the 2023 annual budget will increase expenditures across the County by about $3.5 million due to changes in personnel costs, IT services, insurance costs, and other changes in appropriations. The hearing may be continued from time to time and place to place as may be desired by the Council without additional written notice.
