SNOHOMISH COUNTY COUNCIL SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WASHINGTON NOTICE OF INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE and NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Snohomish County Council will hold a public hearing to consider proposed Ordinance 22-074 on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the hour of 10:30 a.m. at 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, 8th Floor, Jackson Board Room, Everett, WA, in conjunction with a remote meeting platform via the following Zoom link: Zoom Webinar Information: Join online at https://zoom.us/j/94846850772 or by telephone call 1-253-215 8782 or 1-301-715 8592 A summary of the ordinance that is the subject of the public hearing is as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 22-074 GRANTING A NONEXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE AUTHORIZING LIMITED USE OF THE PUBLIC ROAD RIGHTS-OF-WAY IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WASHINGTON TO PUGET SOUND ENERGY, INC. Puget Sound Energy, Inc., a public service company, has applied to Snohomish County, Washington, for a non-exclusive franchise to construct, maintain, operate, replace and repair water systems in, on, across, over, along, under, and/or through public rights-of-way throughout unincorporated Snohomish County. If approved, proposed Ordinance No. 22-074 would grant said franchise to Puget Sound Energy, Inc., subject to all of the terms and conditions contained in the ordinance. If approved, the franchise would go into effect following enactment of the ordinance, acceptance by Puget Sound Energy, Inc., provision of evidence of insurance, and payment of all applicable fees. The maximum term of the franchise would be twenty (20) years from the effective date.
