Local Emergency Response Coordinator (LERC) Okanogan County Public Health District is seeking a full-time Local Emergency Response Coordinator (LERC). Primary responsibilities include updating emergency response plans and coordinating an all-hazard response to public health emergencies and threats. Additionally, the LERC role will coordinate plans with County Emergency Management (EM) team and the Region 7 Emergency Response Coordinator (RERC). The LERC may serve as Incident Commander and as such, is expected to maintain current ICS certifications. Minimum qualifications for consideration include: 3-5 years of experience in emergency response, Associate’s degree and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additional relevant experience, education, and bilingual language skills are desirable. This position is non-exempt.
