How do I place my ad?

Why can't I upload pictures?

You may have chosen the basic ad in your package which doesn't include the ability to use pictures. If you have chosen an enhanced ad, please review the help documentation on the upload process here.

Why Should I Give You My Email Address?

  1. Our new system uses the email address as the primary unique identifier for advertisers.

  1. Registering with an email address will enable you to post, track and manage all of your ads online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – at your convenience.

  1. You will receive confirmations and renewal notices for your ad placements automatically via email.

  1. Interested buyers can communicate directly with you by email instead of playing phone tag.

  1. You can take advantage of the Enhanced Ad Features that are available in the Marketplace.

Please note -- If you do not want to provide us with your email address or you do not have one, you can still place your ads with us.


Why Did You Change Your System?

  1. To provide greatly improved performance and features for our customers.
  2. The new system is:
    • Faster
    • More Reliable
    • More Secure
    • Feature-Rich
    • Has many new capabilities that allow advertisers and buyers to manage their accounts, communicate privately and directly.


Why Did You Change Your Ad Packages and Pricing?

  1. Based on input from our customers, we created pre-defined packages based on the most popular time frames that customers wanted. This simplifies choices for our customers.

  1. The new Marketplace system is based on number of characters in an ad, rather than number of words. To deal with this change, we modified our pricing to be based on number of characters. We also made the pricing for Enhanced ads very attractive for advertisers.

What do I need to do to get my ad "Featured" in the scrolling display on the homepage?

THIS FEATURE NOT CURRENTLY ENABLED FOR OCW Marketplace....

When enabled, the scrolling displays feature ALL of the ads across our network that have images associated with them, and they rotate equally. If your ad contains an image, it should be displayed there. If it doesn't, please contact OCWsupport@fwpubs.com.

What's with the annoying security pop-up like the one shown below?



Because our ads are served in a secure environment, some individuals who are placing ads and/or are logged in and who use Internet Explorer as their browser may see the above pop-up message. It is simple to remove...

First -- within Internet Explorer, choose the TOOLS menu at the top and then go to INTERNET OPTIONS.

Next -- select the SECURITY Tab at the top and then the CUSTOM LEVEL button at the bottom.

Finally -- scroll down to "Display Mixed Content" and choose "Enable", then click the OK button at the bottom.

The messages will no longer persist. If you wish to re-enable these messages at any time, simply choose PROMPT to allow the pop-up message again.
